A 9-year-old Zainab Bala Umar was on Saturday killed by stray bullet at the Fadamar Gwanki polling unit of Gwanki ward, in Makarfi Local Government Area

DAILY POST learnt that the incident took place when youths spotted wearing the APC Chairmanship candidate’s engraved shirts, Kabir Maiyere, were seen discussing with some officials of the unit.

According to an eyewitness, he explained that their action triggered tension and one of them immediately called the Army.According to the source, the area is a stronghold of PDP, thereby leading to the political tension.Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Muhammad Jalige assured that the Command would invite the Chairmanship Candidate to know who authorized him to monitor election and what role the Army had in the polling unit.
