Workers of the Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company have vowed to continue their protest against the alleged nonpayment of their salaries and the non-remittance of their pension until their demands

“I am ready to resign from this company if I’m paid my full salaries and my two years pension that was not remitted to the PFA.Another worker who didn’t want his name in print for fear of retribution said, “You can see for yourself, the protest is in full swing. The gate has been locked since 6.00 a.m. and no supply since last night. Its a total shut down.”

“We have been patient enough. We cannot be slaves in our country. That is why we are saying they must give us our salary in full – 100 per cent,” the Deputy President, North, National Union of Electricity Employees, Sikamta Ali said.
