DAILY POST reports that some fans are suggesting that Nollywood may be under a siege after over five actors, including Mr Ibu, Amaechi Muonagor, Sisi Quadri, Adejumoke Aderounmu, and the latest Junior Pope died within the first quarter of 2024. Reacting via his Instagram page, Ugezu said it isn't a Nollywood disaster as many alluded, explaining that people in other professions also die every week.
He said the difference is that the death of movie stars are publicised, stressing that the death surge in the country is due to 'systematic destruction of the health sector.
