According to a statement by the command’s Deputy Spokesperson, Reuben Kovangiya, Mr Shaibu, who was represented by his deputy, K.E. Chigbu, a major general, said the kinetic approach alone was not enough to curb insurgency, but rather compelled insurgents to surrender. The Theatre Commander Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI , Maj Gen W Shaibu, has said the non – kinetic approach is a panacea to enhancing counterinsurgency operations in the NE.
He further stressed that these feats were achieved in collaboration with other components of the Nigerian Navy, Air Force and other security agencies in the NE.
