The Speaker, Jigawa State House of Assembly, Idris Jahun, has told traditional institutions in the state to foster peace and stability among the citizenry.

Representing Governor Mohammed Abubakar at this year’s Sallah prayer in Hadejia, the speaker commended traditional rulers for their fatherly role in ensuring peace and stability in the society.

He described traditional rulers as partners with government in ensuring peace and stability for even development. Also, the Emir of Hadejia, Dr. Adamu Maje, called on Muslim ummah to follow the teachings and values of Prophet Muhammad. In his Sallah message to his people, the Emir urged Muslims to unite and love one another for a better society.
