The beneficiaries, drawn from the 36 states and FCT, will get N4 million, each for four academic sessions and a new laptop.

The First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, on Saturday in Abuja, expressed sadness that many Nigerian youth are unable to afford tertiary education.

The first lady further said the RHI scholarship was a transformative scheme that had the promise of changing lives and shaping the destiny of youths across the nation. She, however, acknowledged that quality education was not just a fundamental right of every child but a key to unlock doors to a promising future and help to empower individual families and the entire communities.

“Through this programme, we seek not only to provide financial assistance but also foster an environment where talents are nurtured and where potential is recognised,” she stated. She also acknowledged the stakeholders and called on well-meaning Nigerians to support the RHI in all its goals, to be able to reach many Nigerians and make life easy for people.
