The Buhari administration has claimed that some individuals were sabotaging the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System .

Nigerian soldiers had complained about the delay in payment of April salaries via an open letter to the Chief of Army Staff, Yusuf Buratai. There have been allegations that the April 2020 salaries of military and paramilitary personnel were delayed “as a result of incapability and inexperience of the operators of the IPPIS”.

“The Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System Department in the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation confirmed that as of Friday 8th May 2020, the Armed Forces personnel had been paid”, he said. This, according to the office, caused the late submission of variations by the Agencies concerned and the need to accommodate their inputs in the April payroll.
