Inspector-General, Egbetokun Denies Ordering Withdrawal Of Police Aides Of Buhari’s Family Members, Other Top Government Ex-OfficialsThe Nigeria Police Force has denied that it instructed the withdrawal of the Mobile Police Force personnel attached to Daura Buhari, brother of former President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha Buhari, and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha among others.
“The Police hereby unequivocally clarifies that the signal is fake and did not emanate from the NPF or any of its formations. More emphatically, the signal deviates from the Police’s telegraphic message structure and standard as the signal bears the signature of a Deputy Commissioner of Police , which is highly irregular, as a signal of this nature would typically be signed by an Assistant Commissioner of Police , who heads such formations, and not a higher-ranking officer.
The message was addressed to DSPs Lauretta Iruonagbe; Yusuf Ishaq; Okeme Emmanuel; Ilesanmi Temidayo; Emmanuel Akaniro; Yakubu Francis; Chindo Atege; Zakari Mohammed and ASPs Osori Sani; Job Andrew; Iyabo Oluwadamilola, and Yakubu Anthony who are believed to be attached to some of the affected dignitaries.
