The Senator explained that establishing the military post will help the security operatives respond to reports of kidnap by bandits between the two states.

Musa who made the call in Minna also asked the Federal Government to restore security operatives in Bassa, Magami and Kukokki towns in Shiroro Local Government Area of the state.The federal lawmaker said, “the time has now come for all the strata of government to collaborate to bring the daily loss of lives in Shiroro local government area and other parts of Niger East Senatorial district to an end”.

He noted, “in the last couple of months not less than 3000 people have been displaced and now living in IDP camps with not less than 300 losing their lives and valuables worth billions of Naira either destroyed or stolen by the marauders”. Musa lamented that people of the area who are majorly farmers can no longer go to their farms due to attacks unleashed on their communities by bandits.

“Our people can no longer go about their normal farming business because of the activities of these bandits” he declared
