Sam Amadi, former Chairman\/CEO of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), has condemned Imo government's handling of some travellers recently nabbed. They were apprehended for moving into the State despite the ban on Interstate movement. Amadi stated that the Imo COVID-19 Management Team should have stopped them from leaving after they were tested for coronavirus.

Sam Amadi, former Chairman/CEO of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission , has condemned Imo government’s handling of some travellers recently nabbed.Amadi stated that the Imo COVID-19 Management Team should have stopped them from leaving after they were tested for coronavirus.

Amadi wondered how the State government intends to apprehend the travellers whose test samples reportedly returned positive.He wrote: “Prof. Iwu has disappointed me. You intercepted persons on transit through Imo and you took their blood samples and allowed them to continue through the State when you know that interstate travel has been banned across Nigeria. Now they are positive.
