Imo governor-elect bans issuance of land titles, CofO - The Nation Nigeria

A statement by his media aide, Chibuike Onyeukwu, reads: “After a study of the report submitted to him on land matters, the Governor-elect, Emeka Ihedioha, has issued the following directives

-all further processing, issuance, execution and collection of Certificates of Occupancy, in respect of land within the Owerri Capital Territory, are hereby suspended and put on hold forthwith.

Is he under Oath? That's usurping?

our elected officials should know that the best thing to do after election before swearing in is to attend leadership training or beeter still attend institute for democratic studies so as to aid them when in office ,not giving irrelevant order

How can a gov elect ban the issuance of CofO when he has not taken the oath of office. He can only decry it and revoke it when he is officially sworn in

That is the point, he still the governmor elect. You can't be issuing orders left and right. Wait untill you are sworn in. In as much we want okorocha out as soon as possible, he is still the Gov untill may 29. We cant have 2 Gov. at same time. Assume office first...
