Following the reduction of pump price of petrol from N125 per litre to N123.

50 per litre, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association in Kano State has directed its members to ignore the directive on new price and sell the product at N125 per litre until their old stocks are exhausted.

According to Danmalam, the last time the Federal Government reduced the pump price of the product from N145 per litre to N125 per litre, its members nationwide lost over N5.5bn as a result of the sudden action. He noted that IPMAN was the largest employer of labour besides the Federal Government, adding that members of the union would not continue to operate at a loss.

“Even though we are happy with the new development and the Federal Government should be commended for the gesture, the government should consider the fact that no sane marketer or businessman will continue operating their business at a loss. It was also gathered that the monthly price modulation exercise for petrol had effectively commenced after the Federal Government declared N123.5/litre as the cost of petrol price for April.Although some of the filling stations were not open for business when our correspondent visited the outlets on Wednesday morning, officials at the few ones that dispensed products claimed not to be aware of the new petrol price.

It is not the marketers'fault, it is our leaders that allow these good-for-nothing rats to have a say. Let the president order more NNPC filling stations to be built across the country using those retrieved stolen money from convicted Nigerians.

Nigeria my country

MBuhari in practical terms we are supposed to be buying fuel at N30 per litre, why is the govt exploiting Nigerians that have adjusted their belts to the last hole? What is worthless outside is being sold to us at an absurd price.

This country, it's government and the so called IPMAN including the inconsiderate marketers are just Mad!!! If it were to be an upward review, they'll just adjust immediately. Foolish people!

Oil price dropped from $57 to $19 & the FG reduced price from N145 to N125...is it commensurate make Una sef think am na, the Buharist who don't think will still put up an excuse for this error...we are been seriously exploited.

They have started abi?

But when the movement of price is at your favor you don't wait to exhaust your old stock

Who is the government in this direction ipman or nnpc

Wicked man if it were to be upward review they will quickly adjust to it not minding it's an old stock

Wetin be this?

If the price was increased, no one would have told them before implementing it. About two weeks ago, a taxi man that carried me bought fuel at 145 per litre. When I asked him why, he said what they had was old product. But, they would have increased without minding 'old product'

Will they say the same thing if the price was increased?

What a country, they are not patriotic in anyway. I pray this Coro Coro Virus catch up with you their..

It’s a shame; .......government not carrying stakeholders along

Ghen ghen

Only in Nigeria. Government orders flouted with impunity

Hmmm

Confused country
