Nigeria's former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has slammed a former member of the United Kingdom Parliament, George Galloway for attacking President Bola Tinubu. Galloway had lambasted President Tinubu, describing him as a drug dealer in the United States. “I started to look into the past of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Chairman, Tinubu. I didn't realise that he was a drug dealer in the United States. And the election that brought him to power is still being credibly contested as fraudulent,' he had said.

Reacting to the attack on President Tinubu, the former minister in a statement on Tuesday said if Galloway was looking for corrupt leaders, he should look within and to several Western Prime Ministers, Presidents, and leaders like George W.

The All Progressives Congress chieftain wrote:"I had promised myself that I would not say a word at this time when people throw bricks at our President because we have already won the election and the battle is long over. Fani-Kayode maintained that the stereotyping of"our leaders as being fraudulent, corrupt, drug dealers and God knows what else" coupled with the usual"asinine and puerile misrepresentations and stereotyping is not something that we will sit by silently and take from foreigners, particularly when they are from the West".
