Yobe State government, in collaboration with development partners, has organized a five-day workshop to itemize and domesticate the National Policy on the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs.

The workshop, attended by different development partners such as the World Bank, UNDP, UNHCR, IOM, UNOCHA, NEMA, NEDC, Civil Society Organizations, security agencies, as well as the representative of the IDPs' communities was declared open by Governor Mai Mala Buni.

The Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Baba Mallam Wali said his administration had in the last five years, made concerted efforts that translated into a very successful reconstruction, rehabilitation, and establishment of new structures geared towards revamping education and improving healthcare service delivery.
