The management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, yesterday, suspended activities at the institution for the meantime in view of growing insecurity.

A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Adewole Soladoye, stated that the current security situation would be reviewed following which appropriate decisions would be taken.

Also, a statement signed by the institution’s Registrar, Mrs. Modupe Fawale, read: “The effort is to monitor the security temperature within the institution and its environment.” She said that academic activities, including conferences, seminars and workshops in the institution, had tentatively been suspended.
