Fricky J who is better placed among the class of artists who have mastered the art of digitalizing their music, caring little for fame but more of the fortune, broke into the music scene with his first song “Dream Girl” in 2008, where he featured Young Teddy and DJ Ray (LT), which has since made it an upward spiral for the singer.

The rising star who has joined the likes of Ghanaian-Nigerian sensation Mr Eazi, Blaqbonez, Wizkid, Fireboy, Bez and many others who practice digital sales, said he has come to hold the music scene by storm.The ‘Fricky Mood’ Crooner, like many artistes, said initially he had some early setbacks pursuing his career in music, as at first his family didn’t support him, but had to prove himself over and over again before he could gain his family’s trust.

“It’s been a long time coming with challenges, at first my family didn’t support my dreams because music was not their idea of a dignified career, however, from 2012 when I started making money they had no option but to support me,” the singer said.Fricky J after he gained public acclamation in 2012 for his then hit single “Calabar Girls,” said it was so big a song that it skyrocketed him to the limelight of the Nigerian Music industry and beyond.
