The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, on Sunday, said he has not “anointed” anyone to succeed him as governor in 2023.
The governor stated this in Port Harcourt at a thanksgiving church service held at the Anglican Church to mark the second anniversary of his second term, according to a statement posted on Facebook by his media aide, Kelvin Ebiri. “Let me say it again, I have never sat with anybody to say I will make you governor. But, as a governor, nobody from anywhere, be it in the party, in Abuja, will impose who will be the candidate of PDP in Rivers state.
