MFM Director of Sports, Godwin Enakhena, says he was close to death as the Olukoya Boys battled for survival in their final game of the Nigeria Professional Football League season against IfeanyiUbah at the Agege Stadium, Lagos in 2016.
He said, “It was the last game of the season and if we lost we would go on relegation. Ikorodu United were playing Warri Wolves in Warri and they were also struggling to survive relegation. If they beat Ikorodu 5-0, they would avoid the drop. “Everything that I was told the night before the game happened exactly as I was told. Then the penalty that made me collapse; 15 minutes to the end of the match, as I was told, a penalty was awarded. I just saw myself going down because every part of me started shaking and I wasn’t in control of myself.
