Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria , yesterday, accused President Bola Tinubu of promoting anti-poor policies.

This situation, the group said, had been interpreted by HURIWA as a deliberate act of neglect towards the poor, further exacerbating the gaping socio-economic inequalities plaguing the nation. “President Bola Tinubu, in January, suspended the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Betta Edu, following widespread anger over an alleged N585 million scandal.”

President Bola Tinubu, yesterday, felicitated with the Muslim Ummah at Eid-el-Fitr, an auspicious occasion that signifies the end of Ramadan. A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Emeka Bekee, has said that the members of the state Assembly who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the APC are not recognised.
