The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has appointed five new chairmen to head committees earlier assigned to some members of the House who have been given ministerial appointments by President Bola Tinubu. The Speaker announced the committees and their new chairmen on Thursday in a statement he personally signed. According to Tajudeen, the appointments shall take immediate effect, while the legislative record shall be updated upon resumption of the House from recess.
