According to the United Nations access to safe, clean drinking water is a human right. National government, state government and international charities big and small are trying to help communities across Nigeria to access safe clean water, which is an absolute necessity for every human being. Despite the best efforts of all the stakeholders, universal access to safe clean water in Nigeria is an intractable problem.

, a small water NGO based in Lagos and in the UK is helping small and medium communities with no access to clean water, to solve their water access problems with collaborative partnerships between Hope Spring, the community and sometime a third party to fund boreholes that bring safe clean water to the locality. One constant partner in all Hope Spring water projects is theirWater scarcity is a pressing issue in many parts of the world, particularly in West Africa.

Marginalised communities are trapped in this vicious cycle with no means to break free from it. However, organisations like Hope Spring Water Charity are working tirelessly to provide sustainable solutions and improve the lives of those affected by the water crisis. The story of Atobaje borehole project highlights, one of the six projects we have completed this year, shows how Hope Spring Water Charity is making a tangible difference in marginalised communities across Nigeria. By focusing on sustainable solutions tailored to each community’s needs and resources, they empower people with long-term access to safe drinking water.Most of the time we tend to think that our contribution to an NGO like Hope Spring water charity is insignificant.
