One person was feared dead with several others injured as a protest by Muslim parents and students over the continuous denial of the use of hijab by Oyun Baptist High School (OBHS), Ijagbo, turned violent on Thursday.

It was gathered that the parents and the students arrived the school around 7am in protest against the decision but were attacked by thugs.A resident of Ijagbo, Alhaji Soliju, said security operatives had been stationed at the gate while broken bottles littered the ground.

The school have no option than to accept to the use of Hijab, If they are ready to continue operation in the school, because kwara is dominated by Muslims

We are always looking for trouble where there should be non. How can I as Christian parent decide that my child will go to an Islamic school and force them on my desired dress code. Let's be reasonable in this country for the good of all of us.

Is hijab more important than the education, I don't understand why are some people bent on causing trouble with a piece of cloth. It shows our level of thinking.
