Gunmen suspected to be cultists, on Sunday, killed the chairman of the Movement for the Survival of the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta in Koluama Clan, simply called Big J, in the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

It was gathered that the victim, also known as Don Cici, was attacked and shot at close range by his assailants around Osuale market while on his way to collect money brought to him through boat transportation. He was said to be a member of the Ijaw Youth Council until he quit the council as a result of issues that characterized the last national executive election.While condemning the incident, he called on the security agencies to fish out the perpetrators of the crime for prosecution.
