LEADERSHIP Friday gathered from locals who do not want their names in print that the suspected herders launched attack on the two communities simultaneously at about 3pm shooting sporadically at anyone in sight.
Another local who simply identify his name as Umee, said, “Seven farmers including the ward commander of the Community Volunteer Guards were killed while scores sustained varying degrees of injuries with properties worth millions of naira including crops were destroyed.” It was also gathered that some members of the two communities noticed movement of strange people around the area and raised the alarm for people to run to safety but before then, they were trapped by the attackers.
