Unknown gunmen believed to be bandits on Sunday killed two persons and injured three policemen during an attack on the residence of 50-year-old Alhaji Sa’adu Dan Bagalo of Kofar Kudu, Kaita LGA of Katsina state.A statement by spokesman of the State Police Command Superintendent Gambo Isa said the bandits, armed with AK47 rifles, were confronted by a Police Patrol Team attached to Katia Division who responded to the scene and gave them a hot chase into the bush.
‘’One Police officer and two others sustained various degrees of injuries during the fierce encounter. Detectives led by DC CID, KTS, are combing the scene and surrounding bushes with a view of unraveling the full identity of the perpetrators. Investigation is ongoing’’.Also, men of the Kano Zone of the National Agency for Trafficking in Persons, have handed over 23 youths and three women to Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari at Government House Katsina.
