Unknown gunmen, yesterday, attacked Umutu Police station in Ndowka East Council of Delta State, killing a senior Police officer and two rank and file officers, two days after a police officer was killed at Akwukwu-Igbo in Oshimili North Council of the state.
Confirming the incident, spokesperson, Bright Edafe, said two cops died during the attack, while another died due to high blood pressure occasioned by the incident, saying the intention of the attackers was to burn down the station but were resisted. Meanwhile, the Cross River State Police Command has repelled a mob attack on one of its stations in Calabar.
