Suspected gunmen have reportedly killed Ahmad Kotorkoshi, an official of the Nigerian Bar Association , at his residence in Bungudu LGA of Zamfara.

Confirming the incident in a statement, Junaidu Abubakar, chairman of the Gusau NBA chapter, said the gunmen attacked Kotorkoshi’s residence at about 3 am on Wednesday.“With deep heartfelt and great shock, I hereby announce the sudden gruesome murder of our colleague and an executive member of the Nigerian Bar Association Gusau branch, Ahmad Muhammad Abubakar Esq,” the statement reads.“The late NBA member popularly known as Ahmad Kotorkoshi was killed by unknown gunmen.

“Ahmed was gruesomely murdered by unknown murderers/killers/assassins at about 0030hrs of today, Wednesday, 5th day of July 2023, at his residence along Mada road in Kotorkoshi town of Bungudu local government area of Zamfara state.” Abubakar said the gunmen beat the wife of the deceased after they gained access to their residence for refusing to disclose the whereabouts of her husband.“While coming out, the killers attacked him with a matchet and dragged him to the back of his house and inflicted matchet cuts on his body which resulted in his death and they fled.”

The NBA official was buried in line with Islamic rites at about 9 am on Wednesday in Kotorkoshi town.
