Gunmen abduct businessman in Imo

A businessman, identified as Akunaebuaju, from Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

DAILY POST reports that the abduction of the businessman came three weeks after two other persons were kidnapped in the same community. Similarly, another businessman, Ugochukwu Oguine, was killed in same community sometime in January, 2020, a development which has left the people in fear.He said, “the gunmen shot sporadically into the air to scare onlookers and zoomed off with the man in their vehicle.”

When contacted the Imo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Orlando Ikeokwu confirmed the abduction, disclosing that the command had swung into action.
