Court Invasion: Civil Society Groups Give FG 14 Days To Prosecute DSS Officials.

A coalition of civil society organizations in Nigeria has issued a 14- day ultimatum to the Federal GovernmentThis ultimatum follows the invasion of the Federal High Court in Abuja by Department of State Service operatives who rearrested Sowore.

The group is also demanding the release of all illegally detained by the DSS as well as other security agencies. This was disclosed at a news conference organised by the groups in Abuja, on Monday. They stressed that the Federal Government should ensure that officials of the DSS who invaded the court premises be prosecuted, else there would be a nationwide protest at every National Human Rights Commission Office across the country.

The civil rights movements include the Centre for Democracy and Development; Occupy Nigeria; Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre , Transition Monitoring Group, Enough is Enough, among others.

This official are following orders .so mind what you say

You dont prosecute when officers are acting on orders!. Rather, ask for their bosses that gave the orders to be prosecuted! You cant prosecute a Soldier for carrying out direct order given by SUPERIOR OFFICER! Let's be realistic!
