OMPALAN, a non-governmental organisation of stakeholders in the oil, gas and solid minerals industry, disclosed this at the investiture of the Emir of Borgu Kingdom, Niger State, Muhammed Dantoro, as the patron of the association.
He said, “We have the leverage to provide critical support to mineral producing communities in the six geopolitical zones. Azogu added, “The acceptance of his highness to function as patron of OMPALAN will add impetus to our collective effort to coordinate effective response to the spate of lawlessness and insecurity ravaging the entire country.
On his part, the new patron of OMPALAN said he would collaborate with the association towards meeting its mandate in order to ensure a peaceful and united Nigeria.
