A group, Wake-Wake Association , has urged Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State to consider lifting the curfew imposed on tricycle operators in Jalingo , the state capital . The state government recently directed tricycle operators to stop operating from 8pm to 6am daily due to the insecurity bedevilling the state capital . The group urged the government to consider lifting the ban following the forthcoming holy month of Ramadan commencing on Monday.

Signed by its chairman, Umar Sani Bello, the group highlighted the challenges posed by the curfew on tricycle operators in the state capital. They emphasized that the restriction severely impedes the movement of people, particularly during essential religious activities such as Tafsir (Quranic exegesis) and Tahajjudi (Night prayers). Explaining further, Bello noted that Tafsir sessions often extend late into the evening, with some starting as late as 8:30 pm to 9:30 p
