The founder, Prostate Cancer Transatlantic Consortium , Prof. Ademola Popoola, has urged the Nigerian government to support men with prostate cancer in view of the high cost of care which is out of reach of many patients.

The CaPTC leader, who spoke during the official virtual flag off press conference of International Registry to Improve Outcomes in Men with Advanced Prostate Cancer , said, “The project will help us understand better the behaviour of prostate cancer that afflicts Nigeria men especially why it is more aggressive and kill more men in Nigeria”.

The expert, who is the National Principal Investigator for IRONMAN Nigeria, said that Nigeria and South Africa were the only two countries currently listed on the IRONMAN international project in Africa, adding, “Nigeria has joined the comity of nations in the registry of men with advanced prostate cancer through the IRONMAN”.
