The Taraba Youths and Women Mobilization and Awareness Movement, TAYOWOMAM, in collaboration with the Taraba State Government, has condemned the illegal possession of weapons among youths in the state. The group also frowned at drug abuse and various criminal activities among youths spread across the state and the country at large.

Speaking on Saturday at a press briefing in Jalingo, the state capital, chairman of the group, Victor M. Bulus, said significant progress has been made in raising awareness about the dangers of these activities. The group, as made known by him, has been actively engaging with youths in cultist hideouts, brothels and other areas to educate them on the severe consequences of their actions.

Bulus who noted that the efforts are geared towards redirecting the youth towards more positive and productive behaviors, said the commitment and dedication of everyone involved, from team members to community leaders and grassroots activists, have been instrumental in making the achieved progress. 'These collective efforts have successfully encouraged many youths to make better choices, contributing to the safety and well-being of Taraba State.l,' he said.
