The SMBLF in a statement on Friday questioned the rationale for the release of the insurgents by the government, arguing that it was promoting crime by this policy. It read in part, “The release of these terrorists as the group continues to cause untold devastation across the land and inflicting maximum harm on our armed forces cannot be explained on any rational basis outside complicity with terrorism by the Federal Government and unwittingly promoting crime against humanity.”

If amnesty is the order of the day for harden criminals, how can we logically expect our security to fight tooth and nail in capturing these deadly people. It's like govt is less concerned about the innocent people and soldiers they murdered
I don't quite agree with you. If amnesty will guarantee peace and ensure the insurgents lay down their arms, why not? What I think is that there is a gap in the government's efforts to have constructive discussions with Boko Haram.

They want to grant amnesty to those evil creatures that has taken thousands of innocent souls to the grave? They should be tortured and hanged, taken completely away from the face of the earth. If so Mariam Sanda should also be pardoned and serve jail term instead.
