The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, has joined Nigerians in calling on authorities to allow students to go on break to vote in the forthcoming general elections.

Many have already expressed concerns about the development with knocks on the tertiary institutions for lack of enthusiasm on the matter.

The human rights activist who is one of the contenders in the 2023 presidential race has been championing Nigeria’s educational system’s address in his blueprint, whose aim is for full enrolment for all children at the primary and secondary school level, among others. Lending his voice to the development, the presidential candidate of the AAC, in a Twitter post on Thursday morning wrote “The Federal Govt led by @MBuhari, @inecnigeria, the ministry of education must grant Nigerian students at least a weeklong break to enable them to vote in the 2023 elections.

“They must be allowed to choose their leaders so they can get rid of wicked leaders #LetOurpeoplevote #SoworeMagashi2023 #WeCantContinueLikeThis,” he tweeted. All rights reserved.
