Governor Fubara of Rivers State accuses Minister Wike of false accusations

Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State on Wednesday lashed out at the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, for accusing him of renting crowds for thanksgiving. Wike made the remark while expressing regrets for helping Fubara to become the governor of the oil-rich state. Addressing a crowd of supporters, Wike had said Fubara displayed a high level of pretext which deceived him to work towards making him his successor.

Wike has been at daggers-drawn with Fubara and their face-off appears a long away from resolution, even after a peace deal brokered by President Bola Tinubu.
