TOM also demanded for the probe of Osun finances, remmittance of contributory pension, abandoned projects, especially during the tenure of ex governor, Rauf Aregbesola, while asking the current administration in the state to make public the report of integrity test carried out on some mega schools. Addressing newsmen in Osogbo on behalf of the group, TOM Executive Director,Rauf Aregbesola Wasiu Oyedokun-Alli, stated that politics must be played in a manner that puts the peace of the state first before any other considerations and asked the aspirants sell their programmes to the people and not to attempt to blackmail, coerce or intimidate anyone. We appreciate the enormity of the difficulties and pay homage to your diligence in striving to get the best results for us as a people. Oyedokun-Alli, who demanded the total debt stock of the state, also demanded explanation regarding increase in the state’s debt stock within the years that preceded the present administration, particularly from 2013 to 2018. Advertisement A source who is close to the two camps told newsmen that party members who wanted to ensure that the crisis did not degenerate, at its earlier stage, formed The Osun Progressives TOP, a caucus of the party in a bid to right the wrongs of the then party chairman, Gboyega Famodun and by extension, the Governor’s camp. He said, “We have followed with absolute regret, the escalating political tension in the State. President, in imposing perspectives to the challenges confronting us today, I wish to respectfully draw your attention to the worsening crisis in our party, APC, the ruling party in Osun state, which is my state of origin. We are aware that points of disagreement exist within the two major political parties in the State, with certain elements within both parties taking steps that can unsettle the peace of the state. If the family (APC) finds that I am fit and proper, yes.

“While the present administration continues to appeal to pensioners to give it more time, the pensioners also deserve to know the source of the delay. Advertisement Considering this established connection, it is incumbent upon me to point out with humility that the unhealthy rivalry playing out today between two leading stakeholders in the state, if not quickly addressed by way of amicable resolution, will have a negative impact on the governing APC, and ultimately for the state in the long run. With 2 Governors, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola who spent seven and half years and Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola who would have spent four years at the end of his first term by 2022 being from the same Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin Federal Constituency. They deserve to know the persons who midwifed the deduction of their salaries without remitting same to the Pension Fund Administrators. They deserve to know the people who orchestrated the agonies they now pass through in trying to survive. These two distinguished and highly respected sons and leaders of our party in Osun state have been squabbling for some time now. “As functional members of the Osun society ourselves, we are aware of several abandoned projects littered around the corners of the State.” In spite of this clamour, the then Chief of Staff, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, was produced as the APC candidate for the State Gubernatorial Election. While some are visibly abandoned, some others were made up to look like they were indeed completed, but a closer look reveals cosmetic completion. Your urgent intervention is imperative, Mr. Related Topics:.
