Gov. Badaru dissolves governing councils of tertiary institutions, others in Jigawa

This was contained in a statement forwarded to DAILY POST by the Public Relations Officer to the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Ismail Muhammad.

According to the statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government Abdulkadir Ganin, the affected tertiary institutions and the agencies included College of Education, Gumel, Jigawa State Polytechnic, Dutse, and Jigawa State Institute for Information Technology, Kazaure. Others were College of Islamic and Legal Studies, Ringim, Bilyaminu Usman Polytechnic, Hadejia, Jigawa State Library Board, Islamic Education Bureau and Jigawa State Scholarship Board.

‎The statement, which said the dissolution was with immediate effect, also extended the government’s appreciation for the services rendered by the members of the governing council.
