GOtv Boxing Night 31: Organisers to fete new UBO champion ‘ID Buster’

Boxing Night, have announced that the new Universal Boxing Organization African light-heavyweight champion, Rasheed ‘ID Buster’ Idowu, will be hosted at the 31st edition of the show.

‘ID Buster’ knocked out his Ghanaian opponent, Bastie Samie, in the second round of the title fight in Accra on April 13. But in one of the most controversial circumstances in recent boxing history, the match commissioner, a member of the Ghana Boxing Authority, declared the match a technical draw. In the super welterweight category, Afikun Gbenga will square up against Adewale; Sikiru ‘Isho’ Ogunyaju, will take on the current national flyweight champion, Sifon ‘Best’ Iwatt, in a national flyweight challenge fight; the national catchweight category will see Sikiru ‘Omo Iya Eleja’ Shogbesan battle Batholomew Abuchi; Emmanuel ‘Ability’ Abimbola will slug it out with Azeez Ayobami in the national lightweight category, while Hammed ‘Ese’ Ganiyu will confront Yusuf ‘Hungry Lion’ Ogunbumi in...
