Saleh’ s dismembered and decapitated remains were found in his home on Manhattan’s Lower East Side on Tuesday afternoon, according toHis dog, Laila, was, however, found alive in the apartment at 265, East Houston Street near Suffolk Street.
According to homicide detectives, his torso, head, limbs, and an electric saw were found in separate places within the apartment, adding that effort had been made to clean up any evidence of what had happened. Saleh’s sister made the gruesome discovery around 3:30 p.m. when she went to check on him after not hearing from him for a day, the police said.
The official said a surveillance camera had captured a video of Saleh in the building’s elevator with another person who was wearing a black suit and black mask.
