The HLMs on pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response ; universal health coverage ; and tuberculosis, on Sept 20–22, can help to place health high on the political agenda. This attention is urgently needed, because most health-related targets in the Sustainable Development Goals ,1including those on pandemic PPR, UHC, and tuberculosis, have been thrown off track and inequalities have widened following the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021, we came together as the Coalition of Partnerships for UHC and Global Health2 to unite behind a common goal to align advocacy and accountability efforts to achieve UHC and other health-related SDGs. Now more than ever, we stand behind this goal and our collective efforts. With the three HLMs this year, world leaders can commit to more efficient global health architecture, closer and accountable partnerships, and transformative actions for ensuring equitable, resilient, and sustainable health systems so that they deliver for all people in periods of crisis and calm.

The appellate court, in a unanimous judgment, set aside the lower court’s judgment for lack of jurisdiction and proceeded to strike same out. The Federal High Court, presided over by Justice Stephen Daylop Pam, had on July 15, 2022 delivered judgment against Ebonyi State Government in a suit brought to it by Andrew Bishopton Ltd and two other claimants over a failed/discontinued contract for the recovery of excess deductions from Paris Club loan. The claimants had approached the lower court to claim, among other things, N30billion and other ancillary claims against the state government as irreparable damages for failure to pay 25 per cent commission on the failed contract, which the Federal High Court granted. You Allow Terrorist Group, IPOB, To Raise Funds To Destabilise Nigeria, Lai Mohammed Tells Western Nations | Sahara ReportersThe Nigerian Government has criticised several Western nations for endorsing the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), which it has categorised as a terrorist group. Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, issued the warning in Washington, D.C. during official meetings with a number of foreign media outlets and policy organisations. According to NAN, the minister said IPOB remains a terrorist group as declared by the Nigerian government and should be treated as such by Western countries. I just feel Nigeria govt uses IPOB to remove the mind of Nigerians fro. Their inefficiency. How can IPOB be the only problem Nigeria has, Bokoharam is there, bandits, kidnappers, unknown gun men, police brutality, corruption, unemployment, high out of school children, ASUU. Since Lai Mohammed & Buhari Govt have identified Western countries that support IPOB I will suggest that Nigeria Govt should do the following: 1). Sue each of the Western countries in their own courts. 2). Sue the countries in ICC and accuse them of being sponsors of Terrorism? IPOB is a terrorist organization according to Buhari’s playbook but not according to UN, EU, USA, UK and Asia. Bunch of clowns. 🤡
