Police spray protesters with pepper spray during a demonstration over the killing of George Floyd by a policeman outside the Third Police Precinct on May 27, 2020 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. - Demonstrators gathered on May 27 for a second night of protests over the killing in the US city of Minneapolis of a handcuffed black man by a policeman who held him to the ground with a knee on his neck.
The crowd was protesting the death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, who died after Minneapolis police arrested him on Monday on suspicion of using a counterfeit banknote. Hundreds of people had begun marching in Minneapolis in the late afternoon – many wear masks as protection against the novel coronavirus – while in St. Paul, just to the east, police said there was ongoing looting as multiple fires were reported. But later in the evening a large crowd demonstrated outside the city’s Third Precinct.
“George Floyd’s death should lead to justice and systemic change, not more death and destruction,” Walz said.Floyd’s family demanded the officer and three others who were present, all since fired from their jobs, face murder charges.
The police should be handed over to the protesters to douse the tension
My heart bleeds GeorgeFloyd
I wish Nigerians in Nigeria can learn from this.. Food for thought
Very good move that's is what you get when you are pinned to the Wall.
Provided the relevant authorities are on top of the case, I m optimistic that Justice will prevail at last. Some crimes against the black are simply disappointing and reprehensible.
Please report matters that concern you .
I sympathize with the family of Floyd, and I have been following the event that followed his gruesome murder occasioned by Derek Chauvin and other cops.
Let them vent their anger. The bloody station can be replaced but not George Floyd's life. The injustice is too much.
As a student, I make all kinds of business cards. U cn DM me if interested.. pls help me repost my clients might be linked to you.. 🙏🙏
Justice must be done
