Ganduje Denies Creating Additional Kano Emirates To Settle Personal Scores

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has denied the claims the creation of additional emirates in the state was done to settle personal scores with anyone.Contrary to the allegations, he explained that the additional emirates were created to make the traditional institution in the state more effective.Governor Ganduje went further to declare his respect for the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.

He, however, noted that the traditional ruler was answerable to his Local Government Chairman, as enshrined in the Constitution. The governor also faulted that claims that the creation of additional emirates has rubbished hundreds of years of tradition in the state.

What ever is his motives I don't know but at the long run is good for the people. If we clap hands for the creation of Jegawa out of Kano State & additional Local Govts created in state, why must we reject additional creation of Emirates in Kano

Kano is an ancient and heritage city to Nigerians and the rest of world. I remember we used to sing of Kano pyramid in our Nursery and primary school days. The ancient history of Kano must be preserved by all for posperity and historical value for generations to come.

Why then is now? Was it part of your campaign manifesto? I think there are better economic issues to strategies and reposition for the benefits of the electorates in the State than creating emirates at stagnant point. Rimi did it never worked well nor lasted.
