FUOYE Killings: Police warn NANS against planned mass action

The police in Ekiti State have warned the National Association of Nigerian Students against its plan for a mass protest over the killing of two students of Federal University, Oye-Ekiti by the police last week.

NANS said its officials and other students from across the country would visit the management of FUOYE, families of the deceased students, traditional rulers of each community they visit, injured students at the hospital, Benin Electricity Distribution Company, Ekiti State Government, State Security Service and the State Police Command.

Mr Ikechukwu reiterated the constitutional mandate of the police to maintain law and order and advised NANS to avoid a breach of law and order in the state.
