Fuel Scarcity

Amid the lingering fuel scarcity, the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has cautioned motorists, particularly commercial drivers, advising them against keeping extra fuel in their vehicles due to the potential risk it poses to the safety of innocent commuters.

State Commander of the FRSC , Corps Commander Patrick Ikaba gave the warning while addressing drivers, vehicle owners and animal merchants at the Cattle Market in Bauchi on Tuesday. He warned that anyone caught in the act will be dealt with in accordance with the relevant traffic regulations. Ikaba also expressed concern over the rate of fatal crashes across the country adding that some of the crashes are avoidable.

These crashes are avoidable and so, we must save lives by changing our attitudes to life,” he said He lamented that night travel is another issue that has been a cause for concern for the Corps, warning that night travel should be avoided because it is always difficult to get help in terms of any crash.
