The Federal Road Safety Corps has deployed 39,450 personnel to ensure safety on highways across the country during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, in a statement made available to our correspondent, said the 24-hour special patrol is scheduled to hold from December 15, 2019 to January 19, 2020.

Other activities listed by the FRSC were daytime route lining, traffic control, operation of mobile courts, activation of high alert on internal and external medical facilities, the establishment of road camps and help areas, aerial surveillance and purposeful synergy with other security agencies.
