Black Stars of Ghana head coach, Otto Addo has downplayed the absence of some of his key players ahead of the friendly against the Super Eagles of Nigeria. Addo won't be able to count on key stars like Mohammed Kudus, Inaki Williams, Thomas Partey, Alexander Djiku, and Daniel Amartey, among others for the game.

Black Stars of Ghana head coach, Otto Addo has downplayed the absence of some of his key players ahead of the friendly against the Super Eagles of Nigeria. Addo won't be able to count on key stars like Mohammed Kudus, Inaki Williams, Thomas Partey, Alexander Djiku, and Daniel Amartey, among others for the game. The gaffer has handed invitations to the likes of Ebenezer Annan, Forson Amankwah, Francis Abu, Ibrahim Osman, and Frederick Asare in the absence of the top stars.

The former Borussia Dortmund of Germany player however said it is an opportunity for the new players in the team to show their quality. 'It is a pity; we would always want to go with our strongest squad especially when we are playing against Nigeria but for me I am looking for opportunities and it’s an opportunity for the new players to show themselves,' Addo said in an interview with the Ghana FA media. 'So for that, I am not thinking about who could be here and who could help us.
