The Chairman of the Electoral Committee, who is the Northern Regional Coordinator of the church, Rev. Professor James Nda Jacob, announced the re-election of Rev. Aboyeji yesterday.
The result showed that Aboyeji polled 1,931 votes, representing 97.6 per cent of the 1,979 total votes cast by delegates at the church’s special convention held yesterday at the Foursquare Camp at Ajebo in Ogun State.Jacob said the church’s constitution stipulates that the General Overseer must secure a simple majority of the votes cast by delegates for the renewal of his mandate at the expiration of his first tenure.
