Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has charged traditional rulers in the state to enlighten their communities on the need to keep the waterways free from

Buni, in a statement signed by his spokesman, Mamman Mohammed, on Wednesday visited the emirs of Damaturu, Fika and Potiskum to sympathise with them over the recent floods recorded in some communities in the emirates.

“Government will consider building massive water ways, drainages and channels to divert the flow of the rain water from residential buildings”, he said. Governor Buni assured that, “the government will support victims of the floods to cushion their hardships”.
