The convicts are Tosin Adenikinju, Abiodun Olabowale, Omoniyi Akinsoyinu, Olatuyi Igbekele and Daso Oluwasiji.
They were arrested by the men of the Ondo State Police Command for kidnapping a nurse, Mrs Unikiere Adodo, who works with Araromi-Obu Rubber Plantation.They were thereafter apprehended and arraigned before the court on two counts, bordering on conspiracy and kidnapping.But delivering judgment on Wednesday, Justice O.A. Odusola, held that the prosecution proved the case of conspiracy and kidnapping against the convicts beyond reasonable doubts.
The court sentenced each of them to seven years’ imprisonment on the first count; and life imprisonment on the second count.All rights reserved.
